Music and Education are my passions.
From my base in sunny Nelson, I work in many roles (paid and voluntary) to support music education from the flax-roots to nationally, and globally. Most of this work involved a focus on leading workshops and professional learning around New Zealand and Australia on Technology Integration and Music Technology for high school teachers. Recent contract work includes project management and review of education resources in music technology. My work is informed from my extensive experience from the last 13 years teaching in schools and mentoring teachers to improve implementation of curriculum and student outcomes.
Additionally, I have performed as part of groups in a wide variety of Music genres: Classical Piano, Jazz Combos, Live Laptop Electronica to Trumpet in a Cuban Son Band.
Some of my current projects are; Buskudara - a genre bending street-band; PressRoll - a live electronica duo; DJ Tunesifter - Vinyl and Digital Funk/Soul/Jazz/Hip-Hop
